Capt.I V Balfour-Paul MC passed away on 16 June 2010. Balfour-Paul was seconded to GHQ Liaison Regiment and became 'Merlin' patrol commander with 'B' Squadron. In 1945, Balfour-Paul was awarded the Military Cross and was mentioned for gallant and distinguished service in the North West Europe campaign. Following the war, he taught at Merchiston Castle School.
